I gave in and started trying ChatGPT. I have always been curious about new technologies. I remember back in the 90s when the first attempts with programs that talked to you were made. We even had one on a 3.5-inch floppy disks. It was funny, but didn’t last long. Then I didn’t hear about anything similar for a long time and to be honest, I wasn’t very interested in it. And now there’s a big bang! Artificial intelligence! ChatGPT! A list of professions that will no longer be needed! Skynet! Well, you have to admit, it deserves attention.
When I have a free moment, I connect and try to see what it can do. At first, I asked what it can do and what it’s for and how it can help me at work. Then I tried some more witty conversation. For example, what it thinks about the existence of God. I would give you the transcript, but I probably deleted it. He didn’t answer the question, but during the conversation, I realized that he responds very politely and non-conflictually. I asked him why he does that, even though it was an unnecessary question. He’s just programmed that way. In some way, I liked that nice and friendly „chatterbox“. So I thought I’d try him out as a therapist too. I asked about various things, like how to avoid stress and such, and eventually I told him that I have a lot of thoughts that I don’t think anyone cares about, but I feel they need to come out. He wrote me this:
"There are many ways to share your thoughts with the public. If you want to share your thoughts online, you can try writing a blog or posting on social media."
Nothing that I couldn’t figure out myself or that someone else wouldn’t tell me. So I thought, for the umpteenth time, that I would check Google and try to find a platform where I could start writing a blog. But wait! I can ask the ‚chatterbox‘!
How can I start writing a blog?
Starting a blog is very easy. There are many platforms that allow you to create a blog for free and start writing. For example, you can try platforms like WordPress, Blogger, or Medium. These platforms allow you to easily create a blog and start writing.
If you want to start writing a blog, you should first choose a topic you want to write about. Then choose a platform you want to write on and create an account. Then you can start writing your posts and share them with others.
I hope that helped!
OK, so starting a blog is very easy. The topic is clear. I have thoughts that need to come out. I’ll try the first platform. And that’s it. It needs a sophisticated name. Yesterday, I drove past a billboard that said „trigema“. That sounds good, but what does it mean? I certainly won’t choose some random word that sounds sonorous to me. That wouldn’t be worthy of me. I don’t know what Trigema is, but I know trigeminus is the cranial nerve. It’s a latin word, so what’s the translation?
The word "trigeminus" seems to be a Latin-origin compound word. How could it be interpreted regardless of its commonly used meaning?
The word "trigeminus" is indeed a Latin-origin compound word. We can divide it into two parts:
"tri-": This prefix means "three" and is used to refer to a trio or three parts.
"geminus": This Latin term means "double" or "twins".
When we combine these word parts, we get the meaning of "three times double" or "three pairs". Regardless of the commonly used meaning of trigeminus as a cranial nerve, this interpretation could refer to any concept or object that has three pairs or three paired elements. It is important to note that this interpretation may be only hypothetical and may not be directly related to the common usage of the term "trigeminus" in medicine or neuroscience.
In that case, the expression "pentageminus" would express "five times double" or "five pairs".
Yes, exactly. If we interpreted the word "pentageminus" similarly to "trigeminus", we could divide it into two parts:
"penta-": This prefix means "five" and is used to refer to a quintet or five parts.
"geminus": This Latin term means "double" or "twins".
When we combine these word parts, we get the meaning of "five times double" or "five pairs". This interpretation can be used for any concept or object that has five pairs or five paired elements.
„Five times double“ is a nice nonsense! It somehow reminds me of ten fingers. And I use them to type on the keyboard and convey thoughts into words. That sounds good. I remember a little bit of Latin, „finger“ is called „digitus“. But I can’t remember how to say „ten“. In Greek, it’s „deka-„. So, „dekadigitus“. Nice, intellectual, and the meaning is related to the topic. I’ll take it. And then I’ll come up with a logo. The typewriter is fine, I didn’t even need it for that. WordPress wants me to add a short description.
I need to write a short description of my blog in English conveying the sense that I write it just to let my thoughts out. Something like: Some thoughts need to be released through the fingers into the world. Can you give me some suggestions please?"
Proposal 1:
"Welcome to my outlet for thoughts - a space where my ideas can flow freely through my fingertips and into the world."
Proposal 2:
"Join me on my journey of self-expression as I let my thoughts take flight through my fingers and out into the world."
Proposal 3:
"Discover my mind's musings as I release them into the world through the power of the written word."
Proposal 4:
"Explore my personal thought sanctuary, where I liberate my ideas and share them with the world."
Proposal 5:
"Embark on a voyage through my mind as I set my thoughts free, allowing them to travel from my fingertips to the world beyond."
These proposals are different ways to express your intention to create a blog as a means of sharing your thoughts with others. Of course, you can modify these proposals according to your needs and style.
I’ll take the first one. No time to waste. Now, just write the first post.
Actually, no, it’s already done :o)
And what about you, do you also have thoughts that need to come out?
